The Role
We are looking for a
Technical Buyer
to manage the procurement of mechanical components, outsourced machining processes, and technical materials for precision mechanics. The role is responsible for analyzing technical specifications, requesting and evaluating quotations, and negotiating prices and commercial terms. The Technical Buyer will select, qualify, and manage national and international suppliers, monitor purchase orders, delivery lead times, and supplier performance, and collaborate closely with Engineering, Production, and Quality to resolve technical or supply-related issues. The position also contributes to cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement activities within the Operations function. The candidate, reporting to the Operations Department, will be responsible for managing the procurement of components and subcontracted processes for precision mechanics, working closely with Engineering, Production, and Quality departments.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the purchasing of mechanical components, external machining processes, and technical materials Analyze product technical specifications Select, qualify, and manage suppliers (national and international) Request and evaluate quotations; negotiate prices and commercial terms Monitor purchase orders, delivery lead times, and supplier performance Collaborate with Production and Quality to resolve technical or supply-related issues Contribute to cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement activities
Requirements
Technical diploma or degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, or similar) 3–5 years of experience as a Technical Buyer, preferably in the precision mechanics sector Excellent knowledge of English Familiarity with ERP / MRP systems
Personal Skills Strong negotiation skills High level of accuracy with an analytical mindset Ability to work autonomously with a results-oriented and hands-on approach
