Quintas Energy is seeking an Accountant with at least 2 years of full-cycle accounting experience. The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining logs, preparing journal entries, monthly closing reports in line with internal cost control rules, managing balance sheet accounts, calculating and reconciling depreciation of fixed assets, performing bank reconciliations, preparing year-end audit work papers, and handling tax calculations and presentations. Roles and Responsibilities Manage general accounts, accruals, prepayments, invoicing, and bookkeeping. Calculate monthly accrued income. Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts. Coordinate monthly closing and reporting for clients. Prepare documentation for internal and external audits and liaise with auditors. Oversee credit control, budgets, cash flows, and online payments via BACs and CHAPs. Perform balance sheet reconciliations. Supervise billing processes and related payments. Prepare and submit VAT and Corporation tax returns, liaising with HMRC and tax advisors. Gather documentation for VAT inspections and penalties. Develop KPIs for review. Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and other departments. Compile statutory accounts and prepare SPV tagging for HMRC submissions, liaising with auditors. Report on aged debtors and creditors. Maintain accruals and prepayment trackers. Assist in short-term cash flow forecasting and reporting. Support trading position report preparations. Assist in cash sweep calculations. The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or Chartered Accountant preferred. Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience; level will be assessed. Languages: full Italian proficiency, fluent B2 English (assessment during interview); Spanish is a plus. Progressive experience in financial operations, planning, budgeting, and reporting. Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel (VLOOKUP, formulas, PivotTables). Knowledge of IFRS / UK and/or Spanish GAAP. Excellent communication skills via email and phone. Teamwork and client-facing skills. Adaptability to changing environments.
