Position Overview
We are looking for a Firmware Test and Product Test Engineer who is excited to work at the heart of SSD innovation. In this role, you will define and test strategies to validate SSD firmware for datacenter applications, working closely with product development teams to ensure robust coverage of product requirements. You will also work in an engineering environment supported by a growing set of AI‑enabled development and verification tools.
Responsibilities
* Build and develop known, grey‑box, and closed‑system validation tests for SSD firmware used in datacenter applications.
* Partner with firmware, hardware, and product development teams to translate product requirements into effective and scalable validation coverage.
* Create, execute, and analyze test plans that verify functionality, quality, and reliability across the SSD development lifecycle, with a strong focus on identifying firmware issues and improving overall product robustness.
* Use C, Python, and automation frameworks to accelerate firmware bug finding, support debug and root‑cause analysis, and collaborate closely with the firmware team to drive effective issue resolution and continuous improvement of validation methodologies.
* Take advantage of AI‑supported development and validation tools to speed up test creation and contribute to industry‑leading storage solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
* Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent.
* Proven programming skills in C and Python.
* Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
* Willingness to travel, including international and intercontinental business trips, as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in product development, validation, verification, or product testing is highly valued.
* Strong Python skills for test development, automation, and data‑driven problem solving.
* Knowledge of SSD architecture, storage concepts, and related protocols is a strong plus.
Salary and Benefits
Base salary range: 31,000€–54,000€ per year, with B2 CCNL Level. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs. Salary includes a variable plan subject to personal achievement of objectives and company performance. Additional benefits may include meal vouchers, corporate welfare, yearly allowance of remote working days, supplementary health insurance, life coverage, and an Employee Assistance Program.
