The Role You will work in a multicultural and multidisciplinary group, collaborating with junior and senior scientists to achieve shared research goals. The research focuses on designing synthetic microRNA for T cell regulation, including integration of microRNA circuits in primary human T cells. Your main responsibilities will include : Developing circuits for macrophage polarization Integrating circuits in monocytes, followed by phenotypical and functional analysis Developing lentiviral vectors with inducible regulation of microRNAs Integrating microRNA circuits into T cells, followed by phenotypical and functional analysis A PhD in bioengineering, immunology, or related disciplines Documented experience in T cell manipulation Strong publication record Good command of spoken and written English Additional Skills Experience in molecular biology and flow cytometry Knowledge of flow cytometry and statistical analysis tools Ability to work in a challenging, international environment Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary setting Analytical reasoning skills and a growth mindset Compensation Package Annual gross salary of €30,000 Private healthcare coverage (depending on role and contract) This position is funded by IIT within the macrophage engineering project.
