Ph3Engineering Operations Technician, Data Center Engineering Operations /h3 pThe Data Center Engineering Operations Engineer is responsible for delivery of best practice systems and problem resolution on all data center electrical and mechanical infrastructure (UPS, MV electrical systems, generators, cooling systems, etc.) within the data center environment in a specific location. /p pThe role requires a highly driven, self‑managed individual who demonstrates initiative and proactively seeks solutions to complex technical problems. It demands frequent site interventions, critical switching activities, and troubleshooting and fixing infrastructure issues. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys a hands‑on capacity on mechanical and electrical (ME) infrastructure such as diesel generators, switchgear, UPSs, PDUs, AHUs, fire detection systems and building automation systems. The position reports to the Data Center Engineering Operations Manager. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liSetting and maintaining the highest standards for safety and actively promoting a world‑class safety culture in all aspects of operational procedure. /li liDriving continuous improvement efforts on infrastructure through standardization of procedures and policies, while delivering performance against agreed metrics. /li liEnabling the operations organization to deliver 100% uptime on all customer‑supporting infrastructure. /li liCollaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver operational excellence for all AWS customers. /li liEnsuring that the preventive maintenance of site‑critical facility infrastructure is planned and executed to the highest standards, in accordance with AWS procedures. /li liIn charge of facility monitoring and supervision (via BMS, PMS, walkthroughs, etc.). /li liParticipation in the successful delivery of build‑out and retrofit of data center infrastructure. /li liEnsuring organizational capability to react and respond appropriately to any potential customer‑impacting event on any component of electrical or mechanical infrastructure. /li liReviewing incident reports, documenting periodic trend summaries, and providing updates and recommended actions to management. /li liDrafting, updating, and maintaining method statements, standard operating procedures, emergency response procedures, preventive maintenance programs, and all technical documentation pertaining to DCEO. /li /ul h3Physical Requirements /h3 ul liWork on a 24x7 schedule (where applicable). /li liWork at heights and from ladders. /li liPerform physical tasks during the shift. /li liWork in a noisy environment with ear protection. /li /ul h3About the team /h3 pAWS values diverse experiences and encourages candidates to apply even if you do not meet all the qualifications.
