We have opportunities for career growth through our diverse businesses which manufacture and service many well-recognized brands. /ph3Job Summary /h3pWe are looking for a technically proficient and detail-driven Senior 3D modeling Engineer to support the design and development of rotary compressors and related mechanical systems within the oil and gas industry. This role involves creating precise 3D models of rotating equipment, assemblies, and components used in high-pressure, high-performance environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design, CAD modeling, and industrial standards relevant to oil gas applications and will coordinate activities alongside external engineering company as well. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliDesign and develop 3D models of rotary compressors skid with focus on design of auxiliary systems, baseplate, tank, vessel etc. to meet the project requirements /liliCollaborate with mechanical engineers to ensure models meet performance, safety, and manufacturing requirements /liliPrepare detailed assemblies and exploded views for technical documentation and fabrication /liliIntegrate models into simulation workflows (CFD, FEA) and support design validation as needed /liliSupport specific Customer meeting relating to the 3D model review (30%, 60%, 90%), HFE meetings, review meetings. /liliOptimize models for manufacturability and serviceability, considering tolerances and material constraints /liliMaintain version control and ensure compliance with industry standards (API, ASME, ISO) /li /ulh3Key Competencies /h3ulliBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Design, or related field /liliProven experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Creo, or Siemens NX (3-5 yrs experience) /liliStrong understanding of rotary compressor mechanics and thermodynamic principles /liliFamiliarity with oil gas equipment standards and operational environments or similar /liliExperience with simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL) is a plus /liliAbility to interpret PIDs and engineering specifications /liliExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail /liliStrong communication and collaboration abilities /liliFluency in English; additional languages are a plus. /li /ulh3What we Offer /h3ulliOpportunity to work on high-impact energy projects with global clients /liliCompetitive compensation and benefits package /liliProfessional development and training /li /ulpIngersoll Rand Inc.
