To support our Company's growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic Market & Competitive Intelligence Specialist, who will be part of our Growth Unit, contributing to the development of strategic insights and market intelligence supporting business development, competitiveness, and long‑term positioning in the global space economy.
For this position, we foresee a fixed-term contract with a duration of one year.

DUTIES
As a Market & Competitive Intelligence Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting Argotec's strategic decision‑making by collecting, analysing and transforming market and competitive data into actionable insights.
The activities will include (but are not limited to):
- Conducting primary and secondary research on global space‑economy markets, including launch services, satellite platforms, EO/telecom/data‑relay ecosystems and emerging New Space trends;
- Collecting, analysing and synthesising quantitative and qualitative data related to the space industry, identifying patterns, competitor moves, investment flows and technology evolutions that may impact Argotec's strategic positioning;
- Monitoring international space programmes, institutional players (ESA, NASA, EU Space), and commercial operators to update internal databases and support scenario-building and market‑driven recommendations;
- Developing and maintaining a competitive intelligence database focused on space‑sector technologies, mission architectures, offerings, and business models, mapping direct and indirect competitors across upstream and downstream segments;
- Supporting the Business Development organisation by gathering and reporting competitor activities, industry announcements, tender opportunities, constellation developments and relevant strategic signals;
- Analysing complex market and technology problems in the aerospace sector, producing structured insights that enable informed decision-making and long‑term strategic planning;
- Collaborating with engineering, strategy, and BD teams to translate technical space‑domain information into clear business insights, opportunities and risks.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Management Engineering, or a related field;
- At least 2 years of experience in similar roles, ideally within the aerospace or high‑tech industries;
- Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills;
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams;
- Proactive, structured, and detail‑oriented mindset;
- Excellent written and oral communication in English.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCES & SKILLS
- Proven experience (academic or professional) in market research preferably within the high‑tech or space‑economy domain, including the review of industry reports and technology roadmaps;
- Experience in collecting, validating and analysing quantitative and qualitative data related to competitive environments and sector-specific technologies;
- Capacity to work effectively with engineering, business development and mission/technology teams, translating technical domain information into business‑relevant conclusions;
- Familiarity with major global and European space players, programs, and ecosystems (ESA, NASA, EU space initiatives, commercial operators, New Space companies);
- Continuous learning attitude and commitment to excellence;
- Flexibility and adaptability to rapidly evolving market conditions in a fast‑moving sector;
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, working under tight deadlines.
ADDITIONAL ASSETS
- Knowledge of market‑research methodologies or competitive‑analysis frameworks;
- Ability to interpret space‑industry datasets (launch market, satellite constellations, EO, telecom, upstream/downstream trends) and extract actionable insights;
- Previous experience (academic or professional) in market research within the aerospace or space‑economy domain, including the review of industry reports, programs and technology roadmaps;
- Familiarity with space‑sector standards, programs and institutional players.
