In this role, you will carry out in‑depth actions across the European supplier base to best support our customer plants, particularly in the areas of Operational Excellence, strategy, and cost reduction. /p h3Your Main Responsibilities /h3 ul liSupport and develop the European supplier strategy for the Category, in alignment with the product group strategy and customer plants. Collaborate with the NPI team cell to ensure sourcing decisions are consistent with this strategy. /li liIdentify opportunities and successfully lead related projects involving negotiations, source changes, and/or the establishment of contracts. Analyze and document market index trends to support these initiatives, and contribute to the development of the commodity’s annual budget. /li liEstablish and maintain high‑quality relationships with suppliers. /li liMonitor and actively manage suppliers’ operational performance in terms of quality, velocity and capacity, taking all appropriate actions to improve performance in collaboration with suppliers and all internal Caterpillar stakeholders. /li liSupport the deployment of Caterpillar initiatives at supplier sites. /li /ul h3Profile /h3 ul liEducation: Degree from a business school or a general engineering school, with a first successful experience in technical/industrial purchasing. /li liFluent professional English, written and spoken. /li liLeadership, drive, and the ability to coordinate across multiple functions. /li liStrong negotiation and influencing skills, with excellent interpersonal relationships. /li liStrong abilities in prioritization, anticipation, analysis, and problem‑solving. /li liHonesty, humility, and a team spirit are values you share. /li /ul h3Additional Information /h3 ul liTravel requirements: 10‑20% (Europe). /li liNot open to ISE / No relocation will be offered. /li liWork in the office five days a week, unless on business travel. /li liWork location: Minerbio (Bo). /li /ul pCaterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
