We are actively seeking a highly skilled
Senior Analyst
to play a key role in championing a data-first ethos within our organisation.
This crucial role involves offering strong data assistance to our Finance team while also acting as a
Data Governance Analyst
.
As a collaborative force, you will work closely with cross-functional teams including Data, IT, Legal, and Finance to design, implement, and reinforce data governance policies, ensuring the integrity, security, and optimal utilisation of our data assets.
You will be responsible for:
Serve as the data point of reference for our Finance team, providing them with necessary support
Translate business questions into analytical solutions, providing actionable insights ensuring accuracy and reliability in measuring key performance indicators (KPIs)
Conduct hands-on work with data, including data cleansing, transformation, and validation, working closely with our data engineers and finance stakeholders in the process
Organise, manage, implement, and maintain the internal Data Governance Framework, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory frameworks, specifically GDPR
Develop, update, and maintain standards, policies, and procedures to support the ongoing implementation of the Data Governance Framework
Define performance indicators and quality measures to ensure alignment with standards and roles and responsibilities
Define HLPY's Data Strategy, aligning data use with business objectives
Coordinate and oversee the delivery of the Data Governance Framework, involving cross-department collaboration to provide support to business teams in monitoring and cleansing data quality
Foster a data governance culture by encouraging the involvement of data quality representatives throughout the company, coaching peers on the importance of data, and promoting a data-driven culture
Be an active member of the Data team, helping to develop and enhance our suite of Business Intelligence tooling
Who we are looking for
You have a Degree in Computer Science, IT / IT management, Statistics, Economics or related field
You have a minimum of 4 years of experience in a Data Governance/Analyst role ideally with a background in startups or fintech
You have strong SQL skills, Python is a plus, and you are proficient in data visualisation tools
You have deep knowledge of regulatory requirements related to Data Governance topics and EU privacy framework (e.g. DORA and GDPR)
You have specialist knowledge of Data Governance principles and practices (Business Glossary, Data Dictionary, Data Lineage, Data Quality)
You have fundamental expertise in database management, data quality tools, data analytics, and technology integration for effective data governance initiatives
You have a meticulous approach to data handling to ensure accurate recording, processing, and maintenance, minimising errors and inconsistencies
You have the ability to interpret complex data, identify patterns, and draw insightful conclusions for issue resolution and informed decision-making
You are fluent in Italian and English: you must be totally confident talking and sharing results in English in a sharp and concise way
You demonstrate outstanding communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
You excel at simplifying complex topics into straightforward solutions and ideas
Preferable CDMP certification or similar
