Overview
We are looking for an Analog Design Engineer to be part of the Apple PMU team in Livorno. You will engage in the full process of chip development from concept definition to silicon bring-up in local labs. You will contribute to architecture definition and implementation, verification and validation, and support the production test development, evaluation and qualification.
Description
We seek an Engineer who will take part in the entire process of IP development starting from architecture definition and specification through design and verification ending on lab validation and debug support. You will be in charge of developing best-in-class power management solutions and verifying compliance to specifications pre and post layout. You will support the layout team, DFT and AMS teams during the design phase. You will closely collaborate with the validation team on debugging and characterization of the block and with the test team, ensuring production test quality and coverage.
Minimum Qualifications
* Deep knowledge of transistor level design
* Experience in design, verification and simulation of power management circuits such as linear regulators (LDO), data conversion (ADC/DAC), voltage references, charge pumps, amplifiers, comparators meeting power, area and performance specification
* Expertise in design analyses methods such as small signal, feedback loop systems, noise analysis
* Ability to work close with the layout team to ensure quality and compactness of the block layout
* Ability to cooperate with the lab team for block characterization and debugging
* Knowledge of the control algorithms would be an advantage
* Able to work well within the team, take ownership and encourage others
* Fluency in English is required
* Either MSc or PhD in Electronic Engineering or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
* Expertise in Delta Sigma design is considered as beneficial
* Knowledge of IC Production Test and Qualification
* Knowledge of hardware description languages (VHDL, Verilog) and use of Matlab
* Previous expertise as a technical leader in complex projects
