Overview Job summary about Amazon Operations. We are seeking an Operations and Value Stream Manager to help achieve our mission of delivering the world’s greatest selection of products and services with the world’s best customer experience. This role will work with interconnected facilities to ensure efficient package handling and last-mile delivery services across the designated territory. Responsibilities Manage an environment concerning the delivery of Amazon orders direct to customers, with high volume and complexity, operating on a 24/7 basis. Drive and improve end-to-end flow value to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve Customer Experience. Drive operational goals and metrics for the Delivery Station. Communicate the vision to the team. Present operational metrics regularly to the senior leadership team. Problem-solve to close gaps between performance and goals. Hire and develop top talent. Create and implement a talent plan including talent acquisition, performance and career management, learning and development, succession planning, and employee engagement. Collaborate with key business partners such as Transport & Sortation, DSP Management, Finance, Loss Prevention, IT, HR, ACES, and Engineering. Perform duties across multiple locations within scope of responsibility, including initial night and flexible shifts to understand the E2E operation cycle, with expectation of later flexible shifts. Maintain a day-in-the-life focus on key metrics including Safety, On-The-Road, Under the Roof, and Cost Metrics with an emphasis on optimization processes. Team/Role Context Responsible for goals in an area where the strategy may not yet be defined. Establishes workflows, SLAs, and operational excellence mechanisms at the site. Sets the standard for effective Delivery Station management and translates business priorities into solutions with strong business acumen. Brings an Operations perspective to decision making and collaborates with finance for cost-benefit analyses. Applicable across functional and technical areas, designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining large-scale operations. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2 years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience. Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays. 6 years of general experience. Solid understanding/background in Last Mile operations. English fluency. 5 years as a people manager. Preferred Qualifications 3 years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience. Master’s degree.
