Position:
Field Application Engineer/After-sales Engineer
Role:
The Field Application Engineer/After-sales engineer is responsible for providing technical support with onsite activities and remotely working with customers or third-party service partners to resolve issues with BESS devices. This involves coordinating with the EU team and HQ team to deliver efficient and satisfactory service to our customers in the EU.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Management and technical skills in Field Operations:
o Supervise all field activities, including commissioning, scheduled, preventive, and corrective maintenance.
o Focus on resolving after-sales cases to minimize downtime and optimize fault resolution, maintaining good relationships with customers and sharing information with relevant teams.
o Monitor product performance by analyzing BESS device operational data in collaboration with the monitoring team and HQ.
o Identify technical solutions collaboratively with HQ for swift resolution of issues.
2. Complementary activities:
o Participate as a technician in commissioning, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance activities onsite.
o Support help desk team with phone assistance and ticket management.
3. Skill requirements:
o Electrical certification compliant with local laws.
o Proficiency in basic electrical tools such as multimeters and torque wrenches.
o Ability to read electrical diagrams and relevant work or study background.
o At least 2 years of onsite experience in BESS commissioning, electrical device installation, wiring, and commissioning.
o Proficient in English (Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing), including writing formal manuals.
4. HSE and PPE Management:
o Identify risk mitigation strategies and approve operational procedures under the guidance of the HSE Manager to ensure compliance.
5. Spare Parts and Resource Management:
o Finalize spare parts list, manage obsolescence, and coordinate with EU/HQ technical teams on compatibility of replacement parts.
o Ensure local teams and service partners have necessary resources and spare parts for operations.
o Manage mini stock, including receipt, consumption recording, and delivery of spare parts.
o Coordinate with Technical and Training teams to align field operations with service quality standards.
o Collaborate with local service teams to ensure smooth technical interventions and repairs.
o Liaise with EU/HQ technical teams on technical compatibility and problem resolution.
