Commissioning Engineer | Drive Pre-Commissioning & Start-Up Strategy (Milan Hub / Project Sites)
Are you an engineer who excels at bridging the gap between home-office design and site execution? At Arkad, we are looking for a Commissioning Engineer to join our team under the Project Execution Department.
In this role, you will manage the preparation of pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities, ensuring tight coordination with the Engineering Department throughout both basic and detailed design phases.
Key Responsibilities:
* Procedure & Planning Development: Prepare comprehensive procedures for pre/commissioning, start-up, and test run activities, ensuring strict compliance with applicable Client procedures and regulations.
* Design & Constructability Reviews: Analyze contractual technical specifications and participate directly in design and constructability reviews to support operability and maintainability issues.
* System Breakdown: Define the clear division of the plant into distinct Systems (Functional Units) based on system and sub-system definition criteria.
* Schedule Coordination: Liaise with the Project Control team for the Commissioning schedule definition, detailing the necessary milestones and work execution sequences.
* Interdepartmental Interface: Guarantee smooth interaction during the project design phase with other Head Office departments, including Quality Assurance, HSE, and Procurement.
* Engineering Prescription: Evaluate basic and detailed designs alongside the Engineering Department, providing the necessary prescriptions to make site pre/commissioning activities easier.
* Operational Readiness: Define tools and equipment necessary for commissioning activities, prepare a first-level commissioning organization, and handle the training of Client personnel.
* Site Certification: Prepare all necessary forms to certify site tests.
Your Profile:
* Education: University degree in engineering subjects, preferably Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
* Technical Background: Solid knowledge in commissioning engineering and the development of Quality control plans, inspection test plans, and system procedures.
* Analytical Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting logic diagrams, P&IDs, and single line diagrams.
* Systems & Tools: Practical knowledge of completion management systems.
* Experience: Proven, hands-on experience on site.
* Languages: Fluent written and spoken English.
