In order to strengthen our Supplier Quality Team, we are looking to hire a Supplier Quality Engineer BIW&Trim;, based in Maranello (Italy).
ResponsibilitiesIn this position, you will be responsible to assure quality standards along all product development phases, from the design to field. Using standard tools (SEA; QRA; PR; PA), you will be responsible to execute Advanced Quality activities for the new products under development contributing to flawless launches. You will also manage the supplier to conduct level analysis for production and field issues, contributing to continuous improvement of current production. Verification of processes and potential suppliers (evaluation of supplier suitability – verification of process planning); support the procurement process through evaluation of potential suppliers in terms of quality, focusing on technical aspects, technologies, development timelines, and quality performance in production. Working closely with suppliers, with periodic visits and prepares periodic reports. Manages any complaints about registered non-conformities and implements corrective actions. Applies APQP where required (Advanced Product Quality Planning) to obtain a product that meets customer requirements. Defines improvement plans. Interfaces with the design, production, and process quality sectors. Knowledge of production processes for automotive body components.
Required ProfileIn order to succeed in this challenging role, you will ideally have achieved excellent academic results with a Master-degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Automotive) or equivalent (STEM). You have at least five years of experience in automotive field and preferable minimum two years of prior quality engineering experience. Deep knowledge of automotive core tools (FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, APQP, 8D discipline and other problem‐solving tools) and IATF 16949 are strongly recommended, as it is recommended basic knowledge of trims materials and components manufacturing processes (plastics, glass, rubber, leather, paint, textile, etc) and related process controls.
