We are looking for a Site Material Manager that will work in the "Operations" of "Customer Logistic Support", dedicated to the life cycle management of the naval vessels of the Egyptian Navy. The Material Manager, based in Alexandria, will oversee the planning, procurement, storage, control distribution of materials and products, according to Company needs and Customer requirements. Activities and Responsibilities: The Site Material Manager has the following responsibilities: Support the selected local subcontractor company in carrying out the release of the materials at the Customs until clearance is obtained and the materials are released; Focus on both Naval Base contractual work ILS and ISS activities and warehouse management operation to maximize performance and reduce waste of time and cost; Build successful open two-way relationship with the Customer driving the site culture and engagement strategy; Ensure that all work carried out by the Suppliers and by the local Contractors that are involving the required materials handling are in accordance with Company's Policies and Procedures, Health and Safety Legislation including the local Environmental Standards, including inductions and reporting; Manage all works into the warehouse structure in order to ensure that the ongoing tasks has been undertaken to the required standards; Be responsible for negotiating with client for specific conditions in regard to the materials management as required during the project execution; Manage the training as per the Contract requirements, focusing on meeting or reducing all aspects of the targeted budget; Manage all materials in/out from/to the warehouse that are required for the maintenance activities under the contractual LOT2/LOT3; Analysis of the documentation accompanying the supply and assessment of its conformity with the order; Withdrawal of materials from the management system; Unblocking of PO positions for payment authorization; Interface with suppliers to resolve problems related to the documentation produced with the supply; Interface with the front office and back-office personnel of the order to resolve technical problems related to supplies and report any non-conformities emerging from the analysis of the documentation; Archive activities and support to back-office staff for order finalization and reporting activities. Requirements Availability to work in Alexandra (Egypt) for a minimum period of 2/3 years; Technical Diploma or University Degree in Engineering field; Deep knowledge of Microsoft Excel; a knowledge of Oracle Primavera or Microsoft Project will be a plus; Knowledge of SAP; Be able to manage suppliers of service activities and components; Planning skills to manage the activities and economic sensibility; Communicational skills to manage relations with the Client and to negotiate with suppliers; Knowledge of safety procedures and laws for on field activities; Fluent knowledge of English (both speaking and writing).
