Role Overview
The Production Planner is responsible for planning production needs of finished goods and intermediates, ensuring inventory levels meet safety stock and demand requirements. The role ensures component availability for operations, optimizes inventory, and supports efficient production processes.
Smartworking 2 days/week after induction.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as the main Supply Chain contact for production teams, ensuring finished goods supply meets service and volume targets by coordinating with Supply Chain, Operations, and markets. Plan production batches according to demand and monitor daily production status to address delays.
* Optimize inventory by managing stock levels, reducing provisions, and minimizing days inventory on hand. Handle rework, disposal, or sell‑off of slow‑moving, obsolete, or quarantined materials.
* Maintain accurate data setup and item creation to support operational processes and resin supply planning.
* Support initiatives to reduce production cycle time and costs, and lead Lean projects to improve production planning processes and tools for greater efficiency.
* Provide timely updates on late or expected late items to customer service and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to manage new product launches and obsolescence, ensuring service continuity and minimizing risks.
Requirements
* Strong analytical and logical thinking skills.
* Solid knowledge of supply chain planning methodologies, including MRP logic and pull systems.
* Proficiency in Power BI, Excel, and SharePoint.
* Excellent communication and ability to work across teams and functions.
* Experience with Oracle R12 is a nice to have.
