Help Shape the Future of Embedded Systems & Intelligent Testing
Schindler is transforming urban mobility through smart, connected solutions that enhance reliability and efficiency. In this role, you will design, develop, and execute automated test scripts on a Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test environments to validate embedded controllers of the elevator system.
Contribute to next-generation embedded systems with advanced testing and validation.
Join a multidisciplinary team in embedded software, electronics, and systems engineering.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts (in Schindler Test Environment) on various HIL systems (simulating the elevator’s physics like electrics, electronics, mechanics), for validation of embedded systems (elevator controllers).
Executedevelopment / qualification test campaigns on multiple HIL configurations, including HW modifications, deep failed case root-cause analysis and sound test reporting.
Develop and maintain Python-based helper tools (e.g., report generators, batch file generators, XML modifiers, change impact analysis tools, ..).
Collect and visualize test data (e.g. web dashboards).
Work with event-based communication ( middleware, CAN, TCP/IP, UDP, CAN, SSH, UART ) and corresponding diagnostic tools.
Experience: 3–5 years software development (structured design) and test design for automated testing of an embedded system, preferably in HIL environments.
Strong programming/scripting in Python (for tools, not automation).
Familiarity with Git, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, XML, and VS Code.
Solid background in electrical, mechanical, and embedded systems (IT-only profiles are not sufficient).
Ability to read electrical schematics and perform HW modifications.
Familiarity with middleware communications and bus systems.
Agile mindset and ability to work in lab environments.
Disciplined working style and adherence to review process and coding guidelines.
MATLAB/Simulink)
Knowledge of Lua, C/C++
Experience with Linux OS ( SSH )
