Overall Purpose Of Role Prysmian Powerlink, a global leader in providing state-of-the-art solutions for High Voltage Underground and Submarine cable links in some of the world’s most challenging environments, seeks a Project Manager for our Business Unit Transmission. The role involves planning, preparing, executing, and finalizing projects in accordance with contractual terms and specifications, within agreed timescales and budget. The hiring location is Milan, with projects in the UK. Key Duties & Responsibilities Serve as the focal point for all project activities, with final responsibility for project execution. Represent the company towards the client and resolve all issues related to project implementation. Manage all aspects of multi-discipline projects from inception through completion. Define and control project scope, program, and allowances, following change management procedures. Prepare and monitor the project execution plan, ensuring progress aligns with schedule, budget, and quality objectives. Establish communication policies and processes for all project parties. Manage project program updates, monitor deliverables, and control project costs and resources. Ensure project performance complies with contract specifications, budget, and schedule. Oversee engineering design, procurement, manufacturing, and field activities to ensure compliance with project specifications. Manage contract negotiations with the client, including variations and additional work. Handle client payments and disputes as necessary. Desirable Skills and Attitudes 5-7 years of professional experience as a Project Manager, preferably in oil & gas, energy, or civil sectors within multinational companies. Passion for project management and previous experience with EPCI projects. Master’s Degree in Engineering or related field. Fluency in English. Strong negotiation, leadership, and team collaboration skills. Experience at working sites; knowledge of submarine cable and offshore operations is a plus. Proven track record of delivering results through effective team management. Structured, detailed planner willing to challenge the status quo and adopt innovative delivery mechanisms.
