ROLE SUMMARY:
The International School of Como (ISC), part of the Inspired Education Group, is seeking an innovative and enthusiastic Robotics & Design Teacher to join the Secondary School from August 2026.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging, project-based learning in robotics, design and technology within an inquiry-led IB environment. This role suits a creative educator who is passionate about STEM education and preparing students with future-focused skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Teach Robotics and Design within the Secondary School (IB framework)
2. Plan and deliver hands-on, inquiry-based lessons
3. Develop students’ problem-solving, coding and design-thinking skills
4. Prepare students for internal and external assessments where applicable
5. Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary STEM projects
6. Contribute to extracurricular STEM initiatives and competitions
7. Uphold IB philosophy and Inspired Education values
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Essential
8. Degree in Engineering, Design, Computer Science or related field
9. Recognised teaching qualification
10. Experience teaching robotics, design technology or related subjects
11. Strong knowledge of coding platforms, digital tools and prototyping
12. Excellent classroom management and collaborative skills
13. Legal right to work in Italy (EU passport or valid permit)
Desirable
14. Experience within the IB MYP and/or DP
15. Experience in an international school setting
16. Ability to contribute to wider STEM curriculum development
