The FAO Health Services (CSLH), part of the Logistics Services Division (CSL), provides medical, counseling, and occupational health services to FAO employees and dependents, including monitoring and recording sick leave requests worldwide. The administrative team manages absences for health reasons, supporting workforce health and productivity. The Sick Leave Management consultant collaborates with colleagues to ensure accurate information and adherence to policies, maintaining confidentiality and integrity. This position is based at FAO headquarters in Rome, Italy. Reporting Lines The Sick Leave Management Administrator reports to the Sick Leave Case Manager and works closely with the FAO Deputy Chief of Health Services or their designate. Technical Focus Communication, data entry, and reporting related to health-related absences. Tasks and Responsibilities Act as a case manager, liaising among CSLH, CSH, Affiliate Workforce Services, and staff to facilitate requests. Prepare long-term sick leave cases in compliance with FAO rules. Monitor incoming sick leave requests, validate, and refer to medical doctors as needed. Record data and medical documentation in the medical system (Cority). Liaise with employees and managers to clarify requests, respond to queries, and ensure documentation submission. Prepare reports on sick leave activities. Attend weekly meetings with doctors to monitor cases. Provide monthly activity reports to the supervisor. Perform additional duties as required. Minimum Requirements University degree or technical specialization in business administration, international relations, economics, or related fields. Two years of relevant office support experience. Proficiency in English (Level C).
