The opportunityHuawei Milan Research Center is looking for an Analog RFIC Design Engineer who will support the study, design, and development activities of integrated circuits. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign high‐performance Analog ICs for integrated optical transceiver modules, including simulation, design, verification, and optimization.Analyze technical requirement specifications and define target product performance by collaborating with system engineers.Drive and support layout activity for the physical design of building blocks and top levels.Contribute to feasibility studies, compare different solutions, and proactively share knowledge and best practices within the team.
Required QualificationsMaster's degree in Engineering; a PhD will be positively evaluated.More than five years of experience in analog/RFIC design, with hands‐on design knowledge of complex ICs.Experience in Cadence Design Framework and analog/RF design practices, from circuit layout implementation to testing.Creative design ability to solve analog IC design problems demanding the highest levels of performance.Proficient working with state‐of‐the‐art technologies – SiGe BiCMOS, CMOS.Proven track record of designing high‐performance complex analog IC designs for volume production.Good communication skills, ability to work in multi‐cultural environments, strong team‐working attitude.Fluent in English and availability to travel outside Italy.
Huawei Milan Research CenterThis position is based in Huawei Milan Research Center. The Center works on cutting‐edge technologies in microwave and millimeter‐wave communications, focusing on E‐Band, W‐Band, and D‐Band. Research extends to free‐space optical communications, advanced system architectures, antenna technologies, and contributions to standardization efforts. Active phased array systems are also pursued, with an emphasis on innovative architectures and antenna array technologies. Additionally, research covers optical RFICs, including drivers and transimpedance amplifiers (TIAs), microwave and millimeter‐wave ICs used in power amplifiers and front‐end technologies. We also study HF technologies, advanced electromagnetics, and power and high‐speed signal integrity in next‐generation systems.
