The overall goal is to provide technical support to the European Institution in the continuous development of database and front-end components for the climate monitoring systems. The role includes maintaining and enhancing the web platforms hosted by the European Institution to provide online access to these tools for international user communities. /ppIn this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our customers in the public sector and you will be responsible for developing new business by identifying profitable opportunities, maintaining your client portfolio by building strong, long-lasting relationships, and monitoring the progress of the projects, with the aim to provide excellent client service and added value services. /ph3What will you be bringing to the team? /h3ulliDevelop and maintain web-based interfaces for the eStation 3.0 and Climate Station, based on user community requirements. /liliPrepare installation and upgrade packages for applications, including database updates, and validate their functionality. /liliCreate and update user documentation, including GUI descriptions and manuals. /liliSupport preparation of training materials for web interfaces, including screenshots, diagrams, tutorials, and videos; provide user support and conduct training sessions as needed. /liliMaintain and update the dedicated eStation website, including content publication. /liliOversee installation and maintenance of applications on development and production servers, including web clients. /li /ulh3What do you need to succeed in this position? /h3ulliMaster’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant professional experience. /liliMinimum 3 years of experience with ExtJS and PostgreSQL. /liliStrong knowledge of web application development, application design, and GIS technologies. /liliExperience with DBMS administration and development (PostgreSQL/PostGIS). /liliProficient in Web GIS tools (OpenLayers, Leaflet), GIS servers (MapServer, GeoServer), OGC web services (WMS, WCS, WPS), and front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Drupal, PHP). /liliBasic knowledge of Earth Observation data processing, GDAL, Google Earth Engine, and Python. /liliFamiliarity with Windows and Linux operating systems and containerized applications (Docker). /liliExperience with code testing frameworks, IDEs, and version control (Git/GitHub) is a plus. /liliStrong presentation and training skills are an asset. /liliProficient in English (B1 level or higher). /li /ulpAt Uni Systems, we are providing equal employment opportunities and banning any form of discrimination on grounds of gender, religion, race, color, nationality, disability, social class, political beliefs, age, marital status, sexual orientation or any other characteristics.
