Hospital Trade Advisor
Reporting to the Head of the Specialty & Hospital Business Unit, the Hospital Trade Advisor supports the planning and implementation of trade strategies within the hospital channel. The role is aimed at maximizing value for hospital accounts and purchasing groups, ensuring alignment with both local and global commercial strategies.
Key responsibilities include tender planning and analysis, competitive intelligence, pricing strategy support, and forecasting of key hospital products. The Hospital Trade Advisor works closely with internal stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Demand Planning) as well as external partners (hospital procurement teams and pharmacists), providing strategic insights to support tender decisions and product launches.
Main Responsibilities
Gather competitive intelligence on public tender prices, commercial policies, and differentiating trade services/programs
Plan and analyze tenders and contracts across business and customer segments (public vs private)
Provide systematic insights to support pricing strategies for tenders and relevant private accounts
Forecast sales for key hospital products in coordination with relevant internal teams
Support portfolio rationalization and simplification based on competitive pricing and margins
Collaborate with BD & Launch Planning team to supply analytical inputs (tender prices, volumes, competition) for business case development
Work with Global Commercial Biosimilars and Global Market Access Teams to leverage cross-country Tender Excellence initiatives
Requirements:
University degree in a scientific or economic discipline
Previous experience in hospital tender analysis and market intelligence is preferred
Strong skills in financial and business analysis
Fluency in English
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
