We are seeking an experienced Team Leader for Field Service Technicians in the biogas sector to manage and continuously improve our field service operations across Italy. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with team leadership and operational responsibility. You will lead a team of 3–5 service technicians, ensure high-quality service delivery, and actively support customers through maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical guidance.
Your tasks
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Lead, organize, and develop a team of 3–5 field service technicians
- Plan and coordinate field assignments, considering resource availability and priorities
- Provide technical and administrative guidance, training, and continuous support
- Drive ongoing improvement of service processes and team performance
Field Service Operations
- Perform maintenance, repair, and installation work on mechanical and electrical components of biogas plants
- Diagnose and resolve technical faults and ensure timely issue resolution
- Handle customer complaints and warranty cases professionally and efficiently
- Plan and coordinate your own travel and service assignments
Customer Support & Communication
- Act as a key contact for customers, providing technical advice and operational guidance
- Deliver on-site and remote support to ensure smooth plant operation
- Increase customer satisfaction through reliable, high-quality, and timely service delivery
- Conduct training sessions when required
Process Improvement & Reporting
- Monitor and optimize service and maintenance processes to improve efficiency and productivity
- Coordinate service activities closely with internal departments (e.g., service office)
- Prepare service reports, documentation, and performance analyses
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the service organization
Your profile
Qualifications & Experience:
- Technical background in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering
- Proven experience in field service, ideally in the biogas or renewable energy sector
- Initial leadership experience or strong potential to lead a team
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on, structured, and solution-oriented working style
- Strong communication and customer relationship skills
Languages
- Italian and English (good working proficiency)
- German is a plus
Location & Travel
- Base: Rovereto, Italy
- Travel requirement: approx. 50% on-site at biogas plants across Italy
