Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer
Location: Levico Terme (TN)
Electrical Designer is responsible for designing electrical systems and diagrams for industrial automation machinery, in compliance with company procedures and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Designing and drawing electrical diagrams for control panels and on-board automation systems;
- Ensuring theautomation architecture is based on the operational requirements of the machinery and safety regulations, defining the bill of materials and choice of components;
- Verifying, where required, the assembly and commissioning phases of the systems, in order to provide assistance to the production departments, improving and resolving any issues relating to electrical design;
- Work as partof a team, contributing to the development of efficient and reliable projects and technologies, in accordance with company procedures and current regulations.
Activities
- Electrical and plant design of automatic machines;
- Drafting of technical specifications for both the machine and the electrical cabinet;
- Preparation of documentation, cable lists, connection tables;
- Research into alternative or new solutions for optimising electrical systems;
- Support for the costing of new systems and customisations;
- Dimensioningof connections, estimation of system consumption;
- Support for production in the assembly and testing of systems.

Must have
- Diploma in electrical, electrotechnical or electronic engineering;
- At least 3 years' experience in the electrical design of industrial automation machinery;
- Knowledge ofelectrical CAD software (knowledge of the IGE-XAO system is preferred);
- Knowledge ofelectrical components (electrical panels and machine boards);
- Knowledge ofthe functionality of inverters, drives, sensors, numerical controls, PLCs, anthropomorphic robots;
- Knowledge ofindustry regulations and the main national and international standards (CEI, IEC, UL, Machinery Directive, etc.) as well as aspects related to machinery safety regulations;
- Knowledge ofpneumatics;
- Knowledge ofhydraulics;
- Ability to collaborate with people with different technical skills;
- Proactivity and willingness to work independently in managing assigned tasks, precision and methodological rigour;
- Knowledge ofEnglish at B1/B2 level.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering;
- Knowledge ofPLC programming;
- Knowledge ofthe use of safety control units and SAFE PLCs;
- Ability to analyse the technical feasibility of orders;
- Ability to troubleshoot and/or identify weaknesses in the system;
- Ability to plan and prioritise design activities using MS Project;
- Knowledge ofthe SAP management system (ERP).
