A Day in the Life
Our Western European Cardiac Surgery Operating Unit (OU) is on an exciting growth journey. We are expanding our reach, driving innovation across markets and strengthening our impact in cardiac care. To support this momentum we are seeking a dynamic Marketing Communication Specialist who will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our communication strategy across the region. This is a temporary assignment of 69 months, providing the opportunity to make a significant impact during a period of transformation and growth.
Responsibilities
* Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans aligned with marketing and business strategies to ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints.
* Content Development: Create compelling content for digital, print, events and social media channels; manage storytelling initiatives, press releases, newsletters and internal communications.
* Digital & Social Media: Oversee social media strategy and execution, including organic and paid campaigns; optimise website content and SEO performance; use CRM tools (e.g., SFDC).
* Campaign Management: Plan and execute omnichannel marketing campaigns, monitor performance metrics (CTR, engagement, lead generation) and provide actionable insights.
* Event & PR Coordination: Organise and manage communication around PR events, webinars and trade shows; build and maintain relationships with media and key stakeholders.
* Compliance & Governance: Ensure all communications meet regulatory, legal and brand standards; collaborate with internal teams (Regulatory, Clinical, Legal, Marketing) for approvals.
Required Knowledge and Experience
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing Communications or a related field.
* 35 years of experience in marketing communications or similar roles.
* Strong knowledge of the digital marketing ecosystem (SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing).
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; other European languages are a plus.
* Ability to manage multiple projects at scale, speed and prioritise effectively.
* Proficiency in analytics tools and ability to derive insights from data.
* Experience in agency management and creative asset development.
* Familiarity with marketing automation CRM platforms and project‑management tools (e.g., Adobe Workfront, Eloqua, SFDC Lightning).
* Experience working with AI tools for marketing communication and a PMP certification or comparable project‑management background would be considered strong assets.
