Job Description:
The Field Service Engineer performs required preventive and corrective maintenance on the STERIS/Cantel product lines and field troubleshooting primarily in their service area in the country.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance required on STERIS/Cantel product lines, related product lines, and competitive equipment. This includes: disassembling, replacing, or repairing defective parts; rewiring or reassembling as required; troubleshooting, adjusting/calibrating, and certifying equipment ready for use by using standard and specialized tools and test equipment (i.e., schematics, diagrams, technical manuals, etc.).
Duties:
* Perform administrative duties as assigned including computer synchronization daily, complete service reports, maintaining tools and parts inventory to prescribed levels as required by Team Leaders and Service Manager.
* Uses the Corporate applications (Siebel, Oracle, Sales Connection, others) to handle his daily activity.
* Develop and maintain effective, communicative relationships with customers, managers, support functions and the sales organization.
* Maintains a courteous and professional demeanor when working with customers, contractors, management, and fellow employees. Utilize customer protocols when entering and exiting facilities and abide by all STERIS and Customer Health & Safety protocols and procedures.
* Provide solutions to customers to enhance sales and growth in the field through effective positioning of STERIS/Cantel products and services, identifying opportunities, and passing leads to management and sales.
* Other duties as assigned by the Service Manager. The position description is not an exhaustive list of duties but is intended to give a general indication of work undertaken and will vary in the light of changing demands within the department.
Education Degree:
Required Experience:
* Minimum of 2 years industry-related experience and a general knowledge of operating washing and sterilize processing units.
* Valid driver's license required.
* Good troubleshooting skills as well as proven organization attitude.
* Computer literacy with a good standard of education with good oral and written communication.
* Sufficient technical knowledge of the English language.
* Completion of a recognized mechanical, electrical, or electronic technical training scheme.
