Assist regional finance & operating teams to improve/maintain controllership, accounting compliance and internal controls. This position is open for two locations: Milan, Italy or Budapest, Hungary. Tasks and responsibilities This position will ensure strong Controllership and Compliance practices Ensure compliance of accounting Drive compliance with local laws & policies Ensure local reporting compliance together with the external service provider by preparing/reviewing/filing reports and returns. Provide technical accounting/financial reporting advice and support. Consults with Global HQ Controllership / internal audit teams /external audit teams / external service providers / TAX where appropriate Work closely with commercial and operations leaders/teams to understand financial/accounting implications of transactions and other matters as required Ensure timely & accurate closing Ensure business assets & accounting activities have functional integrity & proper controls Manage external and Internal Audits & follow up on findings specifically ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in the audit process Partner with FP&A teams to drive Legal Entity profitability Ensure the highest standards of controllership, accounting & compliance Qualifications Required education and experience Minimum BSc in Finance / Accounting ACCA / or equivalent IFRS certification, CPA certification 5 years’ experience in General Accounting / Tax / Audit Corporate audit or public accounting experience (Big4 experience is an advantage) Strong knowledge of technical accounting and financial controlling Advanced Excel user - strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation Practice in Google applications is an advantage Strong communication skills – able to develop good working relationships at all levels of the business Challenges the status quo, proactively seeks opportunities to develop finance processes and procedures Experience in stakeholder management Experience in matrix organization Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
