Job Summary
The Information Technology (IT) Support Technician works under the supervision of the IT Services Delivery Manager. This role is responsible for maintaining and supporting all client computer hardware, software, and peripherals, as well as troubleshooting client computer issues across the organization.
Responsibilities
* Handle service requests submitted via ticket system, phone, email, or in person; provide remote or onsite troubleshooting to resolve technical issues efficiently, adhering to prioritization and SLA guidelines.
* Support Windows-based laptops and desktops, including installation, maintenance, management, configuration, and issue resolution.
* Assist with basic troubleshooting for networking, printing, and IP telephony systems.
* Document issue resolutions and work performed in writing.
* Manage user accounts, including password management, creation, modifications, and deletions.
* Install and set up client systems as needed (e.g., new hires, relocations, hardware replacements).
* Coordinate with the Purchasing Coordinator to maintain accurate IT asset inventory and assist with purchase requisitions.
* Support the Systems and Network Administrators with project work and emergency issues as needed.
* Participate in weekly on-call rotations to respond to emergency requests.
* Assist the IT Services Delivery Manager with documentation of expenditures, preparation of the annual IT budget, and reporting, including monthly and annual reports.
* Build and maintain good relationships with hardware/software vendors, management, and staff.
Qualifications
Education
* Minimum two-year Associate Degree in Computer, Information Technology, or related field with three years of experience, preferably in healthcare, OR
* Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with two years of relevant experience.
Experience
* At least two years of relevant experience.
