Role Overview
We are seeking a licensed neurologist in Italy to support patient-facing activities related to genetic testing for a clinical research study, including supporting the ICF review process with patients.
The role focuses on ensuring patients are appropriately informed of the implications of genetic testing, in alignment with local Ethics Committee (EC) expectations.
Commitment
* ~35 hours a month starting ASAP
* Program run to the end of September 2026
* Rate of 65-80 Euro/hour
Key Responsibilities
* Support patient discussions related to genetic testing, including informed consent (as needed before and after testing)
* Help patients understand the purpose of genetic testing and what it may mean
* Support the ICF review process to ensure patients understand before consenting
* Serve as the neurologist supporting these discussions for the study
* Offer the option for patients to speak with a genetic counselor if needed
* Complete required training and follow study processes
* Confirm completion of required patient discussions
Scope of Work
Focus is on supporting patient discussions related to genetic testing within the consent process and helping patients understand study participation.
This role does not replace site investigators, coordinators, or existing screening workflows.
Required Qualifications
* Licensed neurologist in Italy
* Experience working with patients in a clinical or research setting
* Comfortable discussing genetic testing with patients
* Strong communication skills for patient-facing conversations
Preferred Experience
* Experience with genetic testing or consent discussions
* Background in patient education, particularly in complex or inherited conditions
* Familiarity with clinical research or regulated environment
