Commissioning Manager Automation
TTI is seeking a Commissioning Manager – Automation on a freelancer/contract basis across multiple project locations worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for planning and executing the commissioning of complete plant / plant sections, e.g. Reheating Furnace, Hot-rolling line, finishing line etc., with regard to electrics and automation
- Support to the General Commissioning Manager in planning and executing commissioning from interlinked operation tests through to acceptance
- Responsibility for the commissioning of complete plant or sections (depending on the size and complexity of the project)
- Serving as a contact for the customer with regard to electrical and automation systems on-site
- Performs E&A; after completion of the integration test
- Performing acceptance of the electrical and automation systems including contractual documentation within the scope of the integration test
- Coordinating the customer's instruction in use of the maintenance and operating manuals on-site
- E&A; scheduling (input into the overall schedule)
- Responsible for and superior of the entire E&A; team on-site
- Involvement in planning, execution and confirmation by the customer of the guarantees and performance tests (FATs)
- Site reporting
Requirements
- Knowledge of steelmaking processes
- Understanding of the various stages of steelmaking, such as steelmaking, rolling, continuous casting, etc., and associated equipment
- Systems Engineering: Ability to analyze and interpret plant and process diagrams, as well as identify technical issues
- Knowledge of Safety Regulations
- Familiarity with current regulations regarding workplace safety and steelmaking plant management
- Project Planning and Management: Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate commissioning activities, monitoring project progress and adhering to budgets
- Team Management: Ability to lead and motivate a team of technicians and engineers, providing technical support and coordinating commissioning activities
- Risk Management: Ability to identify and manage commissioning-related risks, adopting preventative and corrective measures
- Communication and Relationships: Ability to communicate effectively with various project stakeholders, providing progress updates and resolving issues
- Documentation: Ability to prepare detailed reports on commissioning activities, providing a complete traceability of the process
- Knowledge of HMI system development platforms; Siemens SIMATIC WinCC
- Analytical skills and teamwork/team leading ability
- Proficiency in MS Office
Willingness to travel worldwide for software installation and commissioning
Required Education: Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Materials, Automation Engineering, or equivalent.
