Experteer Overview
In this role you will lead the design, implementation, and evolution of the Digital Thread enabling Digital Engineering for Edgewing, its supply chain, and customers. You will own the Digital Engineering information system architecture across data and applications, focusing on an information map and toolchain integration. You will drive governance, data interoperability, cybersecurity alignment, and cross‑domain collaboration to support lifecycle transitions from legacy to IEC/FEC. This position offers a chance to shape digital engineering capabilities across multiple geographies and partners.

* Define and govern the Digital Engineering Information Map (domains, artefacts, lifecycle states, metadata)
* Architect and integrate the application/toolchain landscape for data interoperability and orchestration
* Ensure data replication, security classifications, and IT infrastructure alignment across geographies
* Orchestrate end‑to‑end data flows supporting Digital Twins and asset integration
* Establish governance, interface decision records, and architecture reviews
* Manage configuration, federated dependencies, and single‑source‑of‑truth for artefacts
* Ensure traceability from requirements through manufacturing and operations
* Oversee data security, backup/DR, and observability across the value stream
Responsibilities
* Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in defence/aerospace or complex engineering environments delivering integrated digital solutions
* Familiarity with event‑driven architectures, middleware, CDC, and data replication/synchronisation
* Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline
* Service Management expertise (ITIL) with enabling technology services
* Project/Programme Management certification (APM, PRINCE2) or equivalent complex delivery experience
* Deep knowledge of Digital Engineering technologies (data architecture, toolchain integration, MBSE/MBD, PLM, simulation)
* Experience designing delivering federated information systems architecture (data and applications)
* Strong understanding of engineering processes, data flows, configuration management, and traceability
* Experience working cross‑functionally with engineering, manufacturing, IT, quality, cybersecurity, and supply chain teams
