Data Engineer
Oerlikon is embarking on an ambitious data-driven journey, with a brand-new cloud data platform to be built at the heart of this transformation as an enabler for Analytics, AI, and digitalization in general. Data Engineering will play a key role in this journey, ensuring the delivery of Data Products.
In this context, we are looking for you as a Data Engineer to analyze business requirements, transferring them into solution concepts and implementing them on our new MS Azure/Fabric based Data Platform.
This position is in Brugherio (MB).
Your Responsibilities
* Analyze business requirements related to data management and analytics.
* Develop solution concepts, following guidelines, templates, and best practices.
* Implement data management solutions, including integration, transformation, data modeling, and storage on Microsoft.
* Deliver maintenance to developed solutions if necessary.
* Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
Your Profile
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or similar.
* Proven track record of at least 4 years of work experience in roles related to data management and analytics, such as data engineer, data architect, and similar.
* Proficiency in data modeling methodologies and tools (understanding of concepts such as normalization, and experience in designing entity-relationship diagrams and data flow diagrams).
* Experience with cloud data platform solutions including data storage, integration tools and frameworks, data management, and data governance products.
* Understanding of general cloud services for data storage, processing, and analytics.
* Knowledge and practical experience with DevOps principles and tools, and how to use them in a data management/analytics environment. This includes knowledge of CI/CD on Azure and GitHub.
* Proficiency in Italian and in English (C1 or higher).
* Experienced in multinational and geographically distributed work environments.
* Certification in Microsoft Azure Data Factory and/or Fabric.
* Proven experience developing dashboards and reports using Power BI.
