1. What to Expect
As a compliance specialist, you will play an invaluable role within the Tesla Bodyshop network. In this position, you will be part of the HQ Body Shop team, providing a great opportunity to impact Tesla’s body repair operations and development. You will be responsible for ensuring all external Tesla-approved body shops comply with standards and meet audit requirements. This position requires someone who is flexible, problem-solving oriented, knowledgeable about the body shop business, and excellent at building relationships.
* What You’ll Do
* Support communications, completion, and coordination of audits within the Tesla Approved Body Shop (TABS) network.
* Conduct physical audits when a reputable third-party auditor is unavailable.
* Analyze completed repairs to verify correct repair methods and adherence to flat rate times.
* Review insurance estimates to identify opportunities for reducing claim costs.
* Identify operational efficiency opportunities, including process standardization, resource management, and training improvements.
* Manage tasks and information flow using collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and custom databases.
* Collaborate effectively with team members on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
* Work closely with EHS teams to certify compliance across locations and ensure legislation changes are incorporated into processes.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.
* What You’ll Bring
* At least 2 years of experience in a body repair shop or insurance automotive claims management; audit management experience is a plus.
* Experience in technical program, project management, or audit-related functions.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Proven ability to coordinate between technical and non-technical teams effectively.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities.
* Capability to work cross-functionally and manage large teams across multiple time zones.
* Proficiency in repair estimating systems such as Audatex and Ultramate.
* Willingness to travel frequently.
