JOB DESCRIPTION:
Location: Milan, Italy - On-site presence required 4 days per week

Abbott is seeking a React Software Developer to significantly contribute to building the next release of product features and system design. It provides huge opportunities to work at all levels from the front-end user experience to a set of robust back-end services. You should be somebody who enjoys development and working on complex system software, and is passionate about building quality software as well as achieving operational excellence. Key Responsibilities
* Development of a new product in core diagnostics based in React
* Analyzing customer needs (via use cases, requirements, or like), design and development of software.
* Creating and maintaining documentation for the artifacts created during the SDLC.
* Cooparation with other members of the IT team to ensure continuous improvement and iterative evolution of the informatics applications.
* Design and implementation of one or more features as assigned on individual programs.
* Interact with project managers, product owners and R&D leadership on project scope, timeline, risks and budget.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
* 2 years of experience in SW development
* Hands-on experience in Javascript/Typescript (React)
* C# and .NET framework
* SQL (PostgreSQL and Oracle)
* Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
* Fluent in English
* Availability to go to the office 4 days per week
Preferred Skills
* Unit Testing and Integration Testing
* Git (version control)
* Agile practices (Scrum is preferred)
* Cloud services (Microsoft Azure is preferred)
* Cybersecurity practices and secure-by-design patterns
* Containerized applications (Docker and/or Kubernetes)
