Purpose
Provide strategic leadership and support for curriculum and instructional programs for grades PK-5. Ensure instructional alignment with Indiana Academic Standards and foster foundational learning that prepares students for academic success. This role supports staff through curriculum development, professional learning, instructional coaching and program evaluation. The Elementary Curriculum Coordinator plays a key role in promoting academic rigor, equity and innovation in elementary classrooms.
Qualifications
Certified teacher in the state of Indiana as regulated by the State Certification Department with a minimum of five years of elementary teaching experience with demonstrated leadership in curriculum development or instructional leadership. Must have a deep knowledge of elementary content standards, early learning frameworks and instructional best practices as well as strong organizational, analytical and communication skills. Proven ability to lead collaborative teams and support professional learning. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Contract Length
186 + 20 days (10 before school year / 10 after school year)
