Position Summary
The Hook-Up & Commissioning SPT is responsible for leading and executing offshore hook-up and commissioning activities for Single Point Terminal (SPT) systems. This includes mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and marine systems. The role ensures the terminal is fully installed, commissioned, tested, and ready for crude or product transfer operations in line with project specifications, safety regulations, and operational standards.
General Description of Role and Responsibilities
* Plan and execute offshore hook-up and commissioning activities for SPT systems such as CALM buoys, turret systems, hose systems, and PLEMs
* Ensure readiness of mooring systems, flexible hoses, risers, product transfer systems, marine loading arms, and quick release hooks
* Coordinate installation interfaces between subsea pipeline end manifolds, risers, and topside SPM or terminal systems
* Conduct and supervise pre-commissioning checks including pressure testing, leak testing, and functional testing
* Supervise mechanical completion and verify all systems are safe, operable, and compliant with project specifications
* Oversee system energisation, safety testing, and integration of SCADA, telemetry, ESD, and fire and gas systems
* Lead and support commissioning teams, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure safe and efficient offshore execution
* Review and manage commissioning documentation including punch lists, red-line drawings, as-built documentation, and commissioning dossiers
* Liaise with marine teams on vessel positioning, mooring operations, and buoy stability following installation
* Work closely with HSE teams to ensure compliance with Permit to Work systems and marine safety requirements
* Support offshore start-up, performance testing, and readiness for crude or product loading operations
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills
* Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automation, Instrumentation, or Process Engineering from an accredited university
* Minimum of twelve years’ relevant post-graduate experience within the discipline
* Strong written and spoken English, with proven ability to prepare technical and operational reports
* In-depth knowledge of offshore marine terminal systems and oil loading infrastructure
* Ability to interpret P&IDs, PFDs, hook-up drawings, and vendor documentation
* Proven leadership and coordination of multi-disciplinary offshore teams, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and documentation control
* Familiarity with SIMOPS, offshore logistics, and vessel coordination
