Medical Device Manufacturing Supervisor
About the Role
This is a senior-level supervisory position responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities of a team of production workers to ensure that dialysis filter manufacturing operations meet quality specifications and schedules.
The successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge of medical devices and high-tech industries, with experience in capital-intensive manufacturing environments preferred. They will also possess excellent leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and develop their team members, as well as foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain workflow by monitoring process steps, setting processing variables, observing control points and equipment, and monitoring personnel and resources.
* Complete production plans by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, and monitoring progress.
* Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
* Ensure operation of equipment by calling for repairs and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
* Provide manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data.
* Create and revise systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements.
* Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources.
* Maintain working relationship with the union by following the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.
* Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending action.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should possess:
Domain Expertise: Good technical knowledge of medical device and/or high-tech industry, with experience in Capital intensive manufacturing environments with high automation preferred.
Leadership Skills: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, integrated supply chain processes, and people leadership principles.
Cultural Fit: Ability to demonstrate vision, lead teams to build plans, engage people, innovate, and achieve results.
