Amazon seeks a Sr. Finance Analyst to support the FPA team within Other Hardlines (OHL) Store Finance. The FPA Analyst will support the FPA Lead, Finance Director, and VP in decision making through data analysis and business insight.
Key job responsibilities
Perform financial reporting and support weekly performance review and monthly PL analysis, and Financial forecasts for the Product Family.
Establish relationships and collaborate with multiple finance and business teams (Retail, Accounting, Operations).
Support in monthly/quarterly financial closing activity in close coordination with business and other finance teams, including document writing.
Facilitate financial review meetings with business groups and work with business managers to ensure the right trade-off between growth and profitability.
Perform ad-hoc business analyses, and financial modelling. Present recommendations to senior management on strategic decisions, and planned future initiatives.
The role will have the support of an intern.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or a Bachelor's degree and experience in a quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance)
Experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field
Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes
Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
Preferred Qualifications
Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
