This Technical SEO Strategist role is a high-impact, data-driven position that blends technical SEO expertise with strategic vision. To support our growth and strengthen our SEO function, we are seeking an independent, results-oriented professional who will serve as the main point of reference for all SEO initiatives across the organization. You will work closely with our Vice President to build and scale the SEO area from the ground up—defining frameworks, setting performance goals, and driving measurable growth. This role is fully remote, with occasional travel to our headquarters, and requires close collaboration with our SEO, Content, SEA, and Sales teams to shape and execute a long-term organic strategy that fuels our global expansion. Strategic Leadership & Planning Define, develop, and implement advanced SEO strategies on an international scale (Italy + 6 countries), aligning with overall business and growth objectives. Serve as the main point of reference for all SEO initiatives across markets, ensuring strategic consistency and measurable results. Collaborate closely with the Vice President to build, scale, and continuously refine the SEO function within the organization. Identify organic growth opportunities and develop actionable plans to expand visibility, traffic, and revenue. Technical SEO Management Oversee and optimize technical SEO performance across all web properties, including site architecture, crawl budget, canonicalization, hreflang, and multilingual frameworks. Partner with development teams to ensure clean code, site speed optimization, structured data implementation, and technical scalability. Conduct regular technical audits, monitor indexation, and address SEO health issues proactively. Content Strategy & Optimization Supervise and enhance on-site and off-site content SEO processes, ensuring keyword alignment, content depth, and E-E-A-T compliance across languages. Collaborate with content managers and copywriters to guide topic selection, meta data, and linking strategy. Support content localization and adaptation for multilingual audiences in coordination with regional teams. Performance Monitoring & Analysis Track, measure, and analyze SEO performance using industry tools such as Semrush, SEOZoom, Ahrefs, and Google Search Console. Prepare routine SEO reports to communicate progress and insights to management and board. Use data to identify emerging trends and proactively adjust strategy to maintain competitive advantage. Partner cross-functionally with Content, SEA, and Sales teams to ensure an integrated approach to digital growth. Select, onboard, and manage internal or external SEO resources, freelancers, or agencies as needed. Establish clear workflows, performance standards, and documentation for the SEO team’s ongoing operations. At least 3 years of experience managing complex SEO projects, ideally on high-traffic sites. Experience with international or multi-country projects. Advanced knowledge of professional SEO tools: Good understanding of HTML code and main on-site technical dynamics. Fluent in Italian (C2) Fluent in English (B2/C1) Experience managing SEO budgets, forecasts, and business planning. Basic knowledge of CRO, UX, and Web Performance Optimization.
