IIoT – Industrial Internet of Things, ICS – Industrial Control Systems, SCADA). He develops, defines, and improves the security of the Operational Technology. The OT Security Expert is responsible for the security of the production processes, including network security, security of production and automation environments and IIoT systems. /ph3Your responsibilities and tasks /h3pThe OT Security Expert identifies and translates legal and customer-specific OT security requirements into robust, audit-compliant policies, processes, and guidelines across GEA’s production environments—including IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things), ICS (Industrial Control Systems), and SCADA systems. /ppThey are responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously enhancing the security posture of Operational Technology, ensuring protection across production processes, automation systems, network infrastructure, and IIoT platforms. /ppHow you'll make an impact: /pulliOT Security Implementation: Define and apply security measures for industrial environments, aligned with company policies and standards such as IEC 62443. /liliRisk Assessment Vulnerability Analysis: Conduct evaluations of OT systems to identify threats and recommend mitigation strategies. /liliMonitoring Incident Response: Oversee OT networks and systems to detect anomalies and manage security incidents. /liliCross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT, engineering, and operations teams to integrate security into industrial processes. /liliProject Vendor Management: Lead OT cybersecurity initiatives, including coordination with external suppliers. /liliTraining Awareness: Promote OT security culture through internal training and awareness programs. /li /ulh3Your profile and qualifications /h3pWhat sets you up for success: /pulliBachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related technical field. /liliStrong experience in IT/OT Security, specifically in ICS, IIoT, and SCADA environments. /liliSolid experience in industrial, OT, or manufacturing settings, or in IT service delivery, operations, or architecture. /liliIn-depth knowledge of ICS, IIoT, SCADA, and automation systems (DCS, PLC, etc.). /liliHands-on experience with industrial security standards (e.g., IEC 62443) /liliProficiency in firewall technologies, vulnerability management, patching, and encryption. /liliFamiliarity with network protocols (TCP, UDP, IPSec, SSL, DNS) and security architectures (SIEM, IDS/IPS). /liliUnderstanding of networking and system security best practices (WAN, routing, proxy). /li /ulpBonus points if you have... /pulliISA/IEC 62443, CISSP, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, CISA, or similar IT security certifications. /liliKnowledge of local language (Italian). /liliProven ability to manage and operationalize complex security initiatives. /liliStrong analytical thinking, structured working methods, and problem-solving abilities. /liliExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with fluency in English /liliHigh level of initiative, resilience under pressure, and organizational talent. /liliBusiness acumen and experience in budget and financial responsibility. /li /ulpReady to engineer a better world with us?
