Ph3Job Description /h3 pWe are currently looking for an exceptional English teacher from March 2026. /p pbJob Posting Date: /b 31 Mar 2026br/bLocation: /b Venice, ITbr/bJob ID: /b 8341br/bSchool: /b H-Farm Venicebr/bCompany: /b Nord Anglia Education /p h3Responsibilities /h3 h3Classroom teaching responsibilities (80%) /h3 ul liEstablish classroom environments that are creative, focused, engaging, and embody IB philosophy and the mission statement of the school. /li liUse flexible teaching methodologies that engage students with diverse learning styles. /li liLead by example, demonstrate the IB learner profile in action, and guide students toward becoming open‑minded, compassionate, thoughtful learners with a global perspective. /li liAssess and respond to student abilities and progress, adapting the approach with different teaching styles. /li liUndertake lesson preparation, set and mark examinations, write student reports, and develop assessments aligned to the IB requirements and the school calendar. /li liUse the learning management system effectively. /li liSet and mark students’ work accurately and promptly, giving guidance and work according to their needs, supporting their development and progression. /li liProvide regular and supportive feedback to students and parents. /li liSupport students’ personal development and well‑being and seek support from the School Counsellor and Programme Heads where welfare concerns are identified. /li /ul h3Team responsibilities (15%) /h3 ul liWork collaboratively with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects, unit planning, assessment development, and improvement programs. /li liOpenly exchange ideas, expertise, resources, and tools with colleagues and within the subject areas to improve teaching within the school. /li liMaintain an in‑depth knowledge of the appropriate curricula and current teaching trends, digital tools, and developments. /li /ul h3School‑wide responsibilities (5%) /h3 ul liBe an academic and pastoral mentor to a group of students. /li liFoster and promote a sense of pride and positive community spirit among staff and students. /li liUndertake cover lessons when required. /li liAssist with marking and evaluating placement exams when necessary. /li liCompulsory attendance at meetings both during and outside of school hours, including school meetings, staff meetings, subject area meetings, interdisciplinary meetings, supervising student breaks, homeroom activities, and other meetings required by the school. /li liComplete supervision duties according to the calendar (possible duties include lunch supervision, drop‑off or departure duty, uniform checks, bus supervision, break, and supervision). /li /ul h3Qualifications Requested /h3 ul liRight to work in Italy (EU passport or valid Italian work visa). /li liA relevant bachelor’s degree and teacher qualification (e.g., History or another related field from an accredited, state‑approved programme). /li liImmaculate police check(s). /li /ul h3Contract Duration /h3 ul liFixed‑term, with the possibility for extension. /li /ul h3Experience /h3 ul liA minimum of two years of recent and relevant experience in a comparable school environment. /li liRelevant teaching experience within the subject area(s), preferably in an IB school (MYP and/or DP). /li liSpecialist skills and knowledge. /li liProven ability to plan and deliver innovative inquiry‑based lessons that engage students and address their diverse learning needs. /li liDemonstrated ability to use digital tools and resources effectively to enhance learning. /li liPlanning and organisational skills. /li liFluent English: reading, speaking, writing (Common European Framework of Reference – CEFR level C1‑C2). /li /ul h3Personal qualities and desired attitudes /h3 ul liPassionate about their subject areas and able to engender the same enthusiasm in students. /li liPositive and have worked to develop respectful relationships with colleagues and students. /li liDependable in all areas of the role. /li liFlexible and able to adapt to new environments and cultures. /li liAble to contribute to and support life at H‑FARM International School through involvement in school activities and events and participation in our thriving school community. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
