Role Description
We are looking for a Senior Application Engineer to join thetechnical-commercial team. The successful candidate will be responsible forsupporting customers in the use of the company’s solutions, providing technicalconsultancy, application demonstrations and training, thereby contributing tostrengthening our client’s position as a partner of excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Present and explain products and solutions to customers and partners.
- Recommend the most suitable solutions based on customers’ production processesand quality objectives.
- Support customers in the implementation of solutions, ensuring improvements inproduction performance.
- Conduct application tests and technical demonstrations at customer sites andcompany facilities.
- Collaborate with the R&D; department and the sales team to share technicalfeedback from the market.
- Participate in trade fairs, events and training sessions to strengthen thecompany’s visibility.
- Travel up to 60–70% of the time to visit customers in Italy and abroad.
Requirements
- Technical background, preferably with a degree in Chemical, Materials orMechanical Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Previous experience (5–8 years) in technical/commercial roles within the glass,chemical, or related industries.
- Knowledge of key application technologies for chemicals in the glass sector, inparticular with roller coaters or screen printing.
- Strong customer orientation and technical problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel frequently at international level, up to 60–70% of thetime.
- Excellent knowledge of English (additional languages are a plus).
