PpArea Managers are responsible for all budgetary, people development and operations objectives of our Amazon Fresh Fulfillment Center. Additional responsibilities include managing and leading a team of Team Leads, coaching and mentoring the team to ensure performance objectives are met, building positive employee relations and building leadership bench strength within the Fulfillment Center. /p ul liDrive creation of staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and other Change/Six Sigma initiatives to enable their Functional Area and ultimately the FC to meet and exceed Business Plan. Set / clarify requirements and expectations for Area Managers. /li liMeasure performance, provide feedback, and hold Team leads accountable for their performance and the performance of their departments. /li liTakes proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments, shifts and among the network. /li liWorks closely with support staff (HR Manager, Financial Manager, Facilities Manager, SLP Manager, Other Ops. Managers, IT Manager) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in their area, as well as providing needed support and resources for other staff initiatives. /li liAble to address operational and personnel issues affecting functional area. /li liSurface issues with potential to affect multiple functional areas, along with ideas for solutions, to Sr. Ops, General Manager and / or HR. /li /ul pFour key areas that you’ll always focus on are the safety, quality, customer experience, and productivity of your department. /p ul liReview the work forecasts and determine your productivity requirements to produce during the day to meet the overall building objectives. /li liPartner with other Area Managers to balance labor ensuring that you are operating a balanced and efficient shift while meeting all of your goals. /li liSupport all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates. /li liProactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and Lean tools. /li /ul h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul li2+ years of employee and performance management experience /li liBachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience /li liWork a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul li1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience /li /ul pOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
