Description Wood is recruiting for a Contracts Lead to join our Contracts Team in Milan focusing on providing contracts negotiation support to our Project businesses in Milan. The role also supports the Life Sciences business in the eastern hemisphere and provides support to wider Milan business. Drafting and review of financial instruments (Bonds / Letters of Credit, PCG's, Collateral Warranties) MOU’s, Bidding Agreements, collaboration agreements and exclusive arrangements Reviewing proposed contract qualifications with other functions, as required, to ensure the balance of risk is appropriate for the associated scope and remuneration model. Negotiation of contractual terms with clients Providing overviews of contract T&Cs and associated issues to senior management and execution teams, as applicable Identification of contractual risks for inclusion in the risk management process Support Supply Chain and other functions in drafting and developing prime contract flow down terms to be incorporated in to purchase orders and subcontracts. Preparation, negotiation establishment and administration of Joint Venture and / or Partnering agreements The provision of contractual interpretation advice, as required. Support Treasury in the timely provision of commercial deliverables (e.g. bonds, PCG's, evidence of insurance) in accordance with contract requirements and Wood Policies. Provision of contractual inputs to Commercial Handovers, including mitigations and actions required by Contracting Policy approvals. Supporting Subcontracts and Procurement Department during negotiation with subcontractors / suppliers. Drafting / commenting on license agreements where Wood acts as licensor. Qualifications Qualifications: Degree in Law Legally qualified (preferred but not required) Knowledge, skills and experience: Experience and proven track record of contract review, drafting and negotiation: 5 years Relevant Client Facing Contracting Experience: 3-5 years In addition to undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience, the individual should have work experience in the industry which would allow understanding of and exposure to key contracting principles Working knowledge of contract terms, contract principles and drafting and roll out of contracting policies Working knowledge of the Company Finance and HR systems Awareness of all relevant corporate and project procedures Excellent understanding of Client contract structures, principles, and policies English fluent; Italian good Personal attributes: Utmost integrity Excellent negotiating skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Planning and organizational skills Strong client (internal and external) focus and ability to build relationships and trust Contribute to the overall continuous improvement process Team player Proactive attitude Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships Ability to work to deadlines Compensation and compliance: Contract & Classification Contract type: Fixed term , 6 month contract for maternity cover Collective Agreement (CCNL): Industria Metalmeccanica (CNEL C011) Job Classification level: Quadro, consistent with role requirements and applicable CCNL Compensation Gross Annual Salary: the initial gross annual salary will be € 65,000, paid in 14 instalments The compensation package will include applicable CCNL elements and company benefits Variable pay and additional benefits will be detailed during the selection process Equal Opportunities This job opportunity is open to all individuals, in compliance with the principle of equal opportunities and non-discrimination, in accordance with applicable regulations Transparency & Offer Determination At the end of the selection process, the Company reserves the right to make an offer with a job level and/or gross annual salary different from what is indicated in this job posting, consistently with the candidate’s professional experience and technical and soft skills.
