Position Description :
The Technical Support Specialist ensures proper computer operations for end users to accomplish organizational tasks effectively and efficiently. Responsibilities include receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving end user help requests. Problem resolution may involve diagnostics, help request tracking tools, and hands-on desktop support.
Responsibilities :
* Monitor and support end user hardware and software proactively and promptly.
* Prioritize workload to resolve critical issues first.
* Install, upgrade, and configure hardware and software.
* Assist in testing new hardware and software before deployment.
* Configure, monitor, and maintain security and virus protection software.
* Maintain hardware and software inventories.
* Install, configure, and troubleshoot content management systems.
* Manage web environment, including internal and external websites, ensuring security, testing, quality assurance, and content updates.
* Support VOIP phone systems, cellphones, printers, and copiers as backup.
* Create and maintain user documentation for help desk support.
* Keep equipment operational through repairs, manufacturer instructions, and evaluation of new equipment.
* Maintain confidentiality to protect organizational value.
* Enhance job knowledge through education, reading, and networking.
* Ensure compliance with HIPAA, licensing, and other regulatory requirements.
* Participate in disaster preparedness planning for equipment and data security.
Requirements :
High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT preferred. Minimum two years’ experience in a tech-related role, helpdesk/support experience preferred. Proficient with Microsoft products (Azure, Office 365, SharePoint) and operating systems, with strong troubleshooting skills. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills required.
