We're looking for a hands‐on Linux system administrator to be a part of our infrastructure team and own our growing fleet of machines – from scanning workstations and compute nodes to client‐deployed systems worldwide.You'll keep our scanning and compute infrastructure running smoothly, improve configuration standards, and gradually automate what's currently manual.
You'll work closely with software and infrastructure engineers but own the day‐to‐day health of our Linux environment.ResponsibilitiesSet up and configure scanning workstations, compute nodes, and storage systemsDebug hardware issues (storage drives, GPUs, memory, networking) and software issues (drivers, containers, internal tools)Extend and maintain Ansible‐based configuration managementProvide technical support to engineering and operations teamsBuild repeatable deployment processes for new scanning stationsDocument infrastructure procedures and troubleshooting guidesContribute to Infrastructure as Code initiativesEnsure high availability for development and production scanner systemsMaintain networking infrastructure across internal and client‐deployed environmentsRequirementsStrong Linux system administration experience (Ubuntu)Hands‐on hardware experience – comfortable installing and troubleshooting physical componentsSolid networking fundamentals and troubleshooting skillsUnderstanding of how application software interacts with infrastructure (GPU drivers, CUDA toolkits, container runtimes, storage mounts)Ability to work independently and take ownership of system problemsDriving license, occasional travel to client sites requiredFluent EnglishNice to HaveAnsible or other configuration management toolsTrueNAS, ZFS, or enterprise storage experienceMonitoring and alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Netdata, Datadog)Datacenter operations or distributed systems experienceTerraform, AWS solution architectureGerman or Italian language skillsBenefitsCompetitive salary packageFlexible working hoursLunch voucher for working daysSmall team, flat hierarchyPersonal and professional growth opportunitiesAccess to a coffee‐bar and gym at Durst AGYou don't have to tick every box to apply, your drive and passion matter most! xivgfpx If you're curious, motivated, and ready to learn, send us your application.
