Job Description – Investigation Specialist (2600302)FAO's Office of the Inspector‐General (OIG) oversees investigations of misconduct by FAO personnel and third parties. Key duties include:Provides digital forensic investigative support to OIG investigations, including intake analysis of complaints and preliminary review.Identifies, collects, analyses and preserves electronic evidence and data (including open‐source and FAO corporate data) in accordance with applicable standards.Performs digital forensic analysis using validated techniques, methods and tools, including verification of open‐source digital content.Assists in understanding the results of examinations and determining credibility and reliability of evidence.Prepares clear and concise forensic analysis reports and other written outputs.Ensures investigation activities are targeted and relevant to each case.Supports investigative personnel with data visualization and presentation for complex cases.Participates in interviewing and consultations as required, especially regarding electronic evidence.Provides support to policy‐related initiatives, internal guidelines and other matters concerning digital forensics.Maintains proficiency with digital forensic tools and stays informed on new trends.Delivers tailored training sessions for OIG personnel on digital forensic investigations and IT.Maintains records and stores materials according to internal procedures.Performs other duties as required.Candidates will be assessed against the followingAdvanced university degree recognized by the International Association of Universities (IAU)/UNESCO in digital forensics, computer science, IT, criminal or forensic sciences, or a related field; relevant professional certification in computer forensics. Candidates with a bachelor's degree need two additional years of relevant professional experience.Minimum of 2 years progressively responsible experience in digital forensics, investigations and evidence handling, e‐discovery processes and data analysis.Demonstrated knowledge of the latest digital forensic techniques, tools, methodologies and protocols.Working knowledge of English and, preferably, a second FAO official language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish). For PSA.SBS, knowledge of English is sufficient.FAO Core CompetenciesDemonstrated knowledge in computer science and IT applied to investigations and oversight, including digital forensic tools (e.G., Encase, Magnet AXIOM, Intella), methodologies and protocols.Extensive experience in carrying out digital forensics activities, including eDiscovery, in an investigative context.Experience in internal administrative investigations, including fraud, corruption and sexual misconduct, preferably in an international setting.Knowledge and understanding of principles, concepts and processes relevant to administrative and criminal investigations.Ability to analyse large volumes of complex and conflicting evidence.Strong English writing skills for clear and concise technical outputs.Experience in more than one location or area of work, particularly in field positions.Experience in an international setting.Experience developing and executing scripts using PowerShell, Python or other programming languages is an advantage.All candidates should adhere to FAO values: Commitment to FAO, Respect for All, and Integrity and Transparency.#J-18808-Ljbffr
