Job Description
The job of aSolution Engineeris defined in the sales process and has the duty to define the proper solutions for customers, to create lean quotation that embody a package of AVL and 3rd parties product as well as necessary services, to meet the customer's specified requirements and to ensure accurate cost calculation following setup sales strategy.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with Key Account Manager (KAM), Global account Manager (GAM) and Sales Engineers (SE) to drive sales opportunities and achieve targets
Provide feedback on market trends and competitor activities to support business strategy
Act as the main technical interface for customers, supporting RFQ definition and analyzing requirements
Propose, present, and adapt tailored solutions, clearly communicating value, USPs, and technical concepts
Develop and deliver technical presentations at customer locations
Create accurate and competitive solution proposals combining equipment, software, and services
Ensure technical and cost correctness of quotations
Take ownership of proposals, including defining, organizing, and coordinating cross-functional proposal teams
Develop and manage proposal timelines in alignment with sales and operations
Prepare technical proposals in line with sales processes, including risk analysis and acceptance criteria definition
Develop solution concepts, including technical documentation and Tabletop Drawings (TTD)
Maintain and track proposal data in Salesforce (status, versions, timelines)
Ensure proper handover of all required information to operations
Involve project management early when needed and apply requirement engineering best practices
Profile Description
Degree in Engineering or a related technical field (University, University of Applied Sciences, Technical University, or equivalent)
Minimum 2 years of experience in proposal or solution engineering
Proficiency in English (good to advanced level)
Willingness to travel
