Job Overview
DXC Technology Italia is looking for a Software Developer to join the Applications Service DXC Team. The team covers Applications Development, Applications Modernization and Transformation, Testing and Digital Assurance, and Applications Management.
Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, executes business and technical software solutions in order to implement portions of new or enhanced (upgrades or conversions).
- Understands and uses appropriate solutions/tools to analyze, identify, and resolve business and/or technical problems.
- Interacts with client‑facing colleagues (Business Analyst and Project Manager) to gain an understanding of the business environment, technical context, and organizational strategic direction.
- Stays current on emerging tools, techniques, and technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master Degree (preferred technical field: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, etc.).
- Experience and knowledge of Digital Development Services, Agile Application Development, DevOps, cloud‑based applications, and microservices architecture and patterns.
- Strong technical experience writing code using languages: Java EE, Spring Framework (Core, MVC, Security, Data, Boot, …), Single Page Application frameworks, microservices, Docker, design patterns and architecture design, and database SQL and NoSQL.
- Knowledge of software development processes (Agile, Waterfall) and DevOps.
- Ability to work with web‑development tools for new applications.
- Basic understanding of modern software design and development methodologies.
- Strong analytics skills, problem solving, focus on results, decision making skills, and ability to work in teams.

Bari with lavoro da remoto possibility.
Compensation
Gross annual base salary starting from €36,000. Compensation is determined in line with the applicable collective labor agreement and based on objective and gender‑neutral criteria, including responsibility, experience and skills.
